Following consultation with the representative bodies, changes have been made to the immigration and asylum category specification.

The changes will allow 30 minutes of initial advice to be available to immigration detainees held in prisons without reference to means or merits. This work will be paid at hourly rates and travel time can be claimed. Contract amendments will apply from 1 November 2021.

Full details of the contract amendments can be found on the Standard Civil Contract 2018 page on GOV.UK
